To achieve visual integration and structural stability, the design team employed various metal techniques throughout the cabinet. From reinforcing the walls with C-shaped steel panels to ensuring a zero-error fit for the glass collection cabinet, every detail was meticulously crafted. The result is a space that not only exudes elegance but also provides a safe and comfortable haven for the feline residents.
Starting from the selection of furniture, the design team constructed the atmosphere of the space based on the client's preferences. By incorporating imported classic furniture, the design team not only met the client's needs but also considered the possibility of future moves. This sustainable approach allows the client to take their cherished furnishings with them, ensuring a sense of familiarity and continuity.
The Aurora Dance project encompasses a 281.7 square meter entitlement area, with a 159 square meter actual area. It features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a multi-functional room that offers excellent versatility. The design team chose solid stainless steel, titanium-plated metal, dark wood, and stone to create a cohesive aesthetic. Additionally, the use of Japanese Cement paint with moisture-absorbing minerals adds a layered and three-dimensional feel to the space.
As a space designed for both cats and humans, Aurora Dance prioritizes the comfort and needs of both parties. Scratch-resistant leather and non-staining metal materials were carefully selected to ensure durability and practicality for the feline inhabitants. The one-piece cabinet design enhances the visual flow and adds a touch of elegance under the play of light and shadow. The integration of imported classic furniture further emphasizes the relationship between people and space, creating a timeless design that will stand the test of time.
Completed in February 2022 in Taiwan, the Aurora Dance project showcases the meticulous research and attention to detail undertaken by the design team. The extensive use of metal, adjustable lighting, and smart appliances contribute to the overall atmosphere, while the incorporation of caves and corners provides cats with the privacy they desire. The color palette of gray and black echoes the hues of cat fur, further enhancing the connection between the space and its feline occupants.
Aurora Dance was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2022 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious accolade recognizes the project's exceptional design, practicality, and innovation. The seamless integration of industry best practices and technical characteristics has resulted in a space that not only fulfills its purpose but also contributes to a better world.
